St. Paul Crews Tackle Bedroom Fire

Aug. 4 – St. Paul firefighters made a quick stop at a dwelling fire in the Summit-University neighborhood on Saturday evening.

About 6:25 p.m., crews were called to a reported bedroom fire on the 700 block of Summit Ave.

Engine 5 arrived to find smoke showing from the C/D side of the 3-story townhome.

Engine 5 deployed a pre-connect and found a working fire in a bedroom on the third floor, Engine 18 pulled a backup line and established a water supply.

Ladder 18 and Squad 3 performed search and rescue as well as ventilation functions.

Crews checked for extension and performed overhaul operations.

Assignment: Engines 5, 18, 8 and 10, Ladder 18, Squad 3, Medic 8 and Chief 1
