Aug. 5 – Spring Lake Park-Blaine-Mounds View (SBM) firefighters contained a dwelling fire on the city’s east side Saturday morning.
About 12:00 a.m. SBM Station 1 was called to the 2200 block of Oakwood Drive for reported sparks from the rear of a neighbors dwelling.
Within minutes, Mounds View police arrived and reported fire showing from the back of the house.
Responding SBM crews upgraded the fire to an All Call.
SBM Engine 1 arrived reporting visible fire in the C-D corner and would be operating in the offensive strategy.
Firefighters pulled multiple lines to combat the fire, completed a primary search and quickly located the fire and knocked it down.
Crews remained on scene performing ventilation and overhaul.
New Brighton Fire was called to the scene for assistance as well as Ramsey County Fire Investigators.
