July 11 - Firefighters in Apple Valley are currently working to bring a house fire under control that broke out about Wednesday evening.
Units were dispatched to the 14700 block of Hallmark Drive around 5:45 p.m.
Chief 5 reported flames showing from a two-story dwelling and requested a second alarm.
As crews arrived at the scene, command reported that they were moving to a defensive attack and working to protect exposures.
Radio traffic from the scene indicated that crews were working from the front door to knock down fire on the interior.
Chief Nealon Thompson told Apple Valley Patch that the fire damaged a ”significant portion” of the home and damaged the siding of a nearby home.
