Two Fires Erupt in Lexington Mobile Home

Dec. 16 - Firefighters were called to a Lexington mobile home park after fire struck one unit twice.

The first fire was reported just after 8 a.m. in the 900 block of Liberty Drive. The unit is in the Paul Revere trailer park cooperative.

Lexington firefighters found heavy fire coming from the rear of the structure and evacuated nearby homes. Mutual aid was called from Centennial and Spring Lake Park – Blaine – Mounds View (SBM).

Crews worked at the scene for about two hours until clearing.

According to the Quad Community Press, two pets perished in the fire that caused extensive damage to the structure.

About 10 p.m. they were called back and found smoke and flames visible. Crews worked until after midnight to control the fire.

On Sept. 11, firefighters battled a mobile home fire on Minuteman Lane, only a block from this scene.
